Village Hall Re-Roof and Refurbishment in Stoke Ferry, Norfolk
A complete roof replacement and refurbishment of Stoke Ferry Village Hall, near Downham Market, completed in about 10 weeks in summer 2025. Every photo below was taken on site by our team.
The job
Stoke Ferry Village Hall is at the heart of its community, and in summer 2025 our team gave it a new roof and a new interior. The whole project took about 10 weeks.
The old tin-sheet roof came off first, including safe and compliant asbestos removal. New roof trusses went in, with the pitch on one side adjusted to 15 degrees to suit the tiles. Then came treated battens, a breathable membrane and Crest Double Pantiles in Rustic Red. The overhang varied from 12 inches down to 5, so the soffits were fitted to suit. Solar panels and two solar batteries were installed on the new roof.
Inside and out, the rest of the building was brought up to the same standard: fresh brickwork, restored parapet walls, new plasterboard and plastered walls and ceilings, insulation, new lighting, and a full paint and decoration.
